Error message when you start Adobe Lightroom
Every time I start Lightroom, I get a message long the lines of “Lightroom needs to configure your system for the $$$/xxx=……. plug-in.”
This is an issue with Lightroom’s installer; the plugin does not need to be reinstalled.
To fix it, either uninstall/reinstall the Lightroom application, or open a command window and run
“C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\lightroom.exe” -register
(Do include the quote symbols shown on the line above; also, you may need to adjust the drive name and folder path to match the location of your Lightroom install)
The command prompt has to be run on the computer administrator account. The above path will only work if you have installed Lightroom on your C drive { default location }.
